The headline say it all as SAFFC striker Aleksandar Duric signed for Indonesian Super League (ISL) and Copa Indonesian champions Sriwijaya, joining fellow Singapore international Precious Emuejeraye at the Palembang-based club.
The 39-year-old will be getting what is believed to be twice his salary at current employers SAFFC meaning he is paid as high as S$16000 a month.
The cost of housing and school fees for Duric’s two children will also be covered by the club.
It is indeed too high a figure for the Singaporean international to refuse as he near retirement especially as it will make a good egg nest for his future with him admitting next year could be his final year.
Duric will wear the No 23 shirt and is likely to join the Indonesian club after the Lions’ Asian Cup Group E double header against Thailand (Nov 14 and 18).
