Former northern giant Woodlands Wellington have released their coach Nenad Bacina.
Despite praising the Croatian in an interview with Today paper, Rams chairman Jayadev Unnithan said that while the Croat had exceeded their targets, the club do not have the funds to retain him.
"We are still rebuilding Woodlands and, in all fairness, Nenad deserves a lot more than what we can give him," Jayadev was quoted as saying.
Bacina said he is proud of his squad and hopes to join another S-League club for next season.
"The priority is to stay in Singapore and I would consider any offer in any position," said the former SAFFC defender.
"At the moment there is nothing. I may return home if that is finally the case."
