Etoile FC chance to win the treble this season is still on track as they defeat Hong Kong side Kitchee FC 6-4 overall to advance to the semi-final stage of the RHB Singapore Cup.
Julien Deletraz and Karim Boudjema had scored for the Stars in the first leg to give them a commanding lead before a 4-4 draw in the second leg finished off the Hong Kong side.
The Hong Kong league second-runnerup can still take pride in their work as they had lead the Stars by 2 goals twice but the Stars exposed Kitchee poor defensive play at set-piece.
Mansour Lakehal, Frederic Mendy, Serge Souchon and Anthony Moulin scored for the Stars in the second leg.
Kitchee goals came from Ubay Luzardo, Mansour Lakehal, Liang Zicheng and Jorge Tarres.
