In a statement released by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), Tampines Rovers' 1-0 win over Harimau Muda earlier this month has been overturned after they fielded an ineligible player.
Tampines, the defending champions, initially claimed a 1-0 victory at the Pasir Gudang Corporation Stadium courtesy of an 85th-minute winner from Kunihiro Yamashita.
However, the FAS have overturned the result and awarded the points to the Harimau Muda, which is in line with the competition's guidelines.
"After a thorough investigation, it was established that Tampines Rovers [have] fielded an ineligible player," the statement read.
"In line with S.League's rules and regulations, we have decided to overturn Tampines Rovers' 1-0 win over Harimau Muda and award Harimau Muda a 3-0 win."
