Eagles open 5-point gap

Geylang United have further secure their grip of third as they open up a 5-point gap between third and fourth with a win 1-0 over Beijing Gouan (S) at Yishun Stadium.

It came courtesy of their Slovak forward Peter Tomko as he grab his 8th goal of the season.

With that result, the Eagles will close out May undefeated in the league as their next league game is in June with their last defeat coming on April Fool day when they lost 0-3 to Home United. (How irony)

It has been a good two months for the Eagles in the league and they will be hoping for the same when they defend their Singapore Cup next week against Balestier Khalsa.
