VietNamNEt has reported Saigon Xuan Thanh 'may not played in the V-league' next season.
It seem despite cutting their budget by 45%, the club still have financial difficulties and owed their players up to 4 months of their wages.
That is why the club have gone to the Ho Chi Minh City authorities for help but have received no reply.
Even if the Vietnamese club, in the end, participate in the upcoming V-league season, one cannot see how they compete in the AFC Cup as the competition will require participating clubs to spend money on competing and until the Final, one may not end up financial better.
V-league clubs have been suffering financial difficulties for the past year as a result of Vietnam economy problems which have seem their source of income (Their owners deep pocket and transfer fees) disappear.
