Vietnam top striker lose battle to play in Suzuki Cup

Vietnamnet has reported Vietnam coach Henrique Calisto has admitted his top forward Le Cong Vinh has lost the battle to be fit for the Suzuki Cup.

The Vietnamese forward have been injured since August but had initially been expected to make the Suzuki Cup after his operation.

It is therefore disappointing news as Le Cong Vinh is an important member of the Vietnam football team setup with him getting the winning goal back in the 2008 Suzuki Cup Final to secure Vietnam first ever international trophy.

But it was not all bad news for Vietnam as Viet Thang has recovered from his injury in the VFF Cup game against Singapore.
