Balestier Khalsa staged a remarkable comeback in the 2013 RHB Singapore Cup after they had lost the first leg 0-2 courtesy of goals from Fazli Jaffar and Liam Shotton and it looked as though the Tigers were on their way out of the competition.
Especially so as they hardly threatened in the first half in the second leg but eight minutes after the break, they went ahead on the night when Qiu Li struck with a fantastic 25-yard effort before Kim Min-ho fired home from close range just three minutes later to level the scores on aggregate.
With neither side able to find a winner, even after extra-time, the game then went to the dreaded penalty shootout, where Balestier beat Hougang United 4-1.
