Qiu Li inspired Balestier

A spectacular opening strike from Qiu Li sent Balestier Khalsa on their way to a dominant 3-1 win over Hougang United in the Great Eastern-YEO's S-League at Toa Poyah.

It was dominated by the hosts after that goal and they doubled the lead when Kim Min-ho strike in 5 minutes into the second period.

Vitor Borges then wrapped up the points when he scored from the penalty spot, although the visitors did manage to grab a consolation three minutes from time when substitute Shahir Hamzah nodded home from close range.

In another match, Tanjong Pagar United recorded a 3-2 win at Woodlands Wellington to move 2 points behind Albirex Niigata (S).

Monsef Zerka got a brace along with a goal from Kamel Ramdani.

Woodlands Chang Jo-yoon reply with his own brace for the Northern club.
