They defeated Thai Champions Muang Thong United and once again I must stress it is because at ASEAN Level, Singapore team are just that better defensive and all great teams build from the back.
Muang Thong United puff at the Warriors defence all night long but failed to blow the house down and ultimately, SAFFC will go on to win it on PK.
SAFFC though almost blew it as Japanese midfielder Akiyoshi had seem his shot saved by the keeper as he blasted it straight at the keeper but fortunately for him, it did not matter as the Thai side had 2 players missing their kick.
SAFFC will now play against Japanese side Gamba Osaka, Korean side Suwon Bluewing and Chinese side Henan Construction.
