The result put the team second in Group G behind Thai Premier League champions Muang Thong United, who will come to Singapore in two weeks’ time buoyed by their 4-0 rout of Vietnamese side Hanoi T&T.
It was a comfortable outing, as expected, for the Stags, who dominated proceedings from the beginning and celebrated goals from Benoit Croissant, Aleksandar Duric and Jamil Ali before Hussain Shimaz gave the hosts a consolation in injury time.
