Tampines crushed Woodlands

Tampines Rovers open up a six-point gap at the top of the table after crushing Woodlands Wellington 4-0 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Aleksandar Duric scored the opening goal after Imran Sahib ran down the right and send in a brilliant cross that left the 39-year-old forward with the simple task of putting it in the net and he duly did that.

That ended the scoring in the first half before Qiu Li added the second 10 minutes after the restart as he, too, was left with the simple task of putting the ball in the net after a brilliant buildup between Qiu Li and
Shukor Zailan on the Stags left wing open up the Rams defence; which the midfielder then pull back to the Singaporean international to blast it in.

Khairul Amri then came on to finish off the Rams with 2 more goals with the first coming from his head as a Qiu Li cross on the right was met by the 25-year-old. It went into the net with the Rams keeper Fajar Sarib having no chance. He then added his second and the Stags fourth after a long punt from the back saw Khairul racing off to met it with his foot to send it into the net.

The night before, Beijing defeated Gombak United 1-0 with a Wang Hao goal at Yishun Stadium.
