Leaders fall at Cubs Den (edited to Cubs Den)

Leaders Tampines Rovers have become the latest victim at the Cubs Den of Jalan Besar.

Now, all of the Big 3 of SAFFC, Home United and Tampines Rovers have left the Cubs Den empty-handed as the Cubs once again show that at home they are a side to be reckoned with.

The Stags were without Qiu Li and Khariul Amri but even so, with their vast experience and older age, they were clearly a far superior team compared to the Young Lions who are restricted to being an Under-23 side.

But the Cubs pushed that aside to edge the Stags 2-1 with goals from Safuwan Baharudin and Fazli Ayob.

The Stags goal came from
Zulkarnaen Zainal who converted from the spot.

On the same night, Balestier Khalsa defeated Albirex Niigata (S) 1-0 at the Jurong East Stadium to cement their eighth spot as the bottom 3, which include Albirex Niigata (S), are now in danger of losing sight of the rest of the pack.

The scorer was Tigers top scorer
Rivaldo Costa who notched his seventh league goal of the season.
