Reigning S-League Young Player of the Year Gabriel Ojimi Obatola has departed Gombak United after he failed to get an extension to his work Employment Pass (EP) according to TNP.
(Now that the real shocker, TNP reporting local sports and it is not always bad news as I just cannot forget how badly they treated local sport - not just football as who can forget the Netball team treatment after bad results against world class teams)
Therefore, his last appearance in a Gombak shirt and the S-league will be 11 Feb game against Sengkang Punggol which unfortunately ended in a 2-1 defeat.
The Nigerian has scored 73 times in 124 appearances for the Bulls.
The Bulls has already embark a replacement for Obatola with them having signed Korean Chang Jo Yoon.

It was sad indeed to see OJ left the club under circumstances beyond their control, although he did not really has a start to the season
