Former champions SAFFC play two matches this week as they seek to make up lost time due to the suspended matches of Young Lions and Beijing Gouan (S).
It was a golden chance to secure 4th spot in the league if they won both matches
However, they lost the first match with John Wilkinson send off before half-time and Albirex Niigata (S) took advantage of it to race to a two-goal lead, through Bruno Castanheira and Tatsuro Inui, before the Warriors pulled one back from the spot.
Federico Martinez got the Warriors sole goal.
In the second match, it was better but it was against a much weaken Young Lions, who were also playing their second match of the week,
The Warriors won 5-2 with thanks to a brace from both Federico Martinez and Erwan Gunawan with the remaining goal an own goal
The Cubs reply came from Hariss Harun and Afiq Yunos.
The Young Lions first match this week had been against Sengkang Punggol; who walked away from Jalan Besar a 1-0 winner thanks to a Kenji Arai goal.
One more match in the S-league this week invloved Gombak United and Woodlands Wellington and the Bulls walked away 3-0 winner thanks to Chang Jo Yoon, Fazrul Nawaz and Hamqaamal Shah
