The Tampines Rovers coach insists that the S-league title race is far from over even after his side opened up a four point lead at the top of the 2013 Great Eastern-Yeo’s S-League.
The Croatian said after the Stags’ 2-1 win over Albirex Niigata on Friday, “Football is not like Playstation where all you have to do is press the buttons.
“The season is still early and who says we will beat the other teams? Anything can happen.”
With defender Seiji Kaneko expected to be out of action for at least a few weeks after picking up a bad injury against Albirex, Nenad hopes the depth in his squad will help his team cope with injuries.
He added, “I’m happy to have a strong squad as we are reaching a stage where players start picking up injuries.
“We are in two competitions this year and games are coming thick and fast."
