Home tripped up by Hougang

Home United who were seeking to go second with a win saw their hopes dashed after they went down a crushing 0-3 defeat at Bishan to Hougang United.

Hougang had only just won their previous match after a run of 11 games without a win and the build on it against the Protectors.

Even so it was nothing short of a shock as Home were on an impressive run of 5 wins in a row and now they have to rebuild their morale as they faced coach Paul Lee after such a result.

Fazli Jaffar, Mamadou Diallo and Baker Jerome got the goals for the Cheetahs.

In other matches, Cubs won their second match this season as they beat Geylang International 1-0 with a goal from Sherif EL-Masri, DPMM Brunei beat Harimau Muda 3-1 and Woodlands Wellington beat Balestier Khalsa 2-1.

Rodrigo Antonio Tosi scored a brace with Abdul Aziz adding in between for the Brunei side 3 goals with Akmal Ishak replying for the Malaysian side.

The Rams opener came after an own goal with Park Kang-jin equalising for the Tigers before Chang Jo-yoon found the back of the net to hand Woodlands all three points.
