Champion and leader Tampines Rovers played to a 3-3 draw with second-placed Albirex Niigata (S).
It could have been much worse as the Japanese side came back from 2 goals down to lead 3-2 with 15 minutes left but the defending champions showed why they are leading the table with an 8 points over Albirex as they fought back to a 3-3 draw with a goal from Aleksandar Duric.
The Singaporean forward had also opened the scoring for Tampines with Fahrudin Mustafic adding the second goal.
Kento Nagasaki, Kazuki Sakamoto and Shingo Suzuki scored for Albirex.
In other matches, DPMM Brunei and Balestier Khalsa played to a 1-1 draw while Warriors beat Hougang 2-1.
Qiu Li opened the scoring for the Tigers while Tales Ricarte Dos Santos reply late in the second period for the Brunei side.
Marin Vidosevic and Mislav Karoglan scored for Warriors with Fairoz Hasan scoring a late consolation goal.
